Plumbing Guard Insurance is a specialty brand of Wexford Insurance, LLC — an independent agency that writes one class, plumbing contractors, across the 48 states we are licensed in.
Most agencies treat a plumbing contractor like any other small business — a generic policy, a generic quote, and no one who has read the completed-operations tail on an installed water line or the non-subscriber workers-comp decision a Texas plumber has to make. We built Plumbing Guard Insurance on the opposite idea: pick one class, learn it deeply, and place it with carriers that actually want the work. A connection under a slab that fails two winters after the job, a sewage backup on a drain-cleaning call, and a crew working in a trench are exposures a specialist underwrites on purpose, not exclusions an owner discovers during a claim.
That focus is the whole value. We know to ask whether you run residential service and remodel or commercial and new construction; whether you do drain, sewer, or gas work; whether you carry workers compensation or operate as a non-subscriber; and what your general contractors demand in additional-insured and limit terms — before we quote, not after a certificate request lands on your desk. Plumbing Guard Insurance is led by its founders, Nate Jones and Kami Jones.
Founder
Nate Jones considers himself to be the “insurance nerd” of our company. He is a graduate of Indiana State University where he majored in Insurance & Risk Management. Before starting Wexford Insurance, Nate Jones worked on numerous sides of the insurance industry as an Underwriting Manager and Risk Management Consultant. He holds the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation, and he reviews every Plumbing Guard Insurance submission personally.
Co-Founder
Kami Jones is by far the most detailed and creative person at our company. Before starting Wexford Insurance, Kami Jones worked as a Client Service Manager in the industry.
